WARRENTON, VA--Leslie Cockburn made the following statement in Danville today to supporters- "On Labor Day we honor America’s workers, their families, and their contribution to our nation. For generations, our country’s growth has depended on the strength of our unions and workers. Ensuring that America’s federal employees are protected from undue partisanship, paid a decent wage and supported when they blow the whistle on injustice," said Leslie.
"President Trump’s most recent executive orders are an attack on these traditions that have ensured and supported American prosperity for generations. As politicians continue to dismantle our public and private sector unions, our middle class continues to struggle.
That’s why I stand with unions and House Democrats demanding the President rescind these harmful Executive Orders and work to empower our middle-class, not attack it."
